Frequently Asked Questions
General Questions
What kind of properties do you inspect?
We inspect a wide range of single family, duplexes/multi-family, condos, and mixed-use properties. If you have any questions regarding a specific property, call us today at 414-333-6325.
When will I get the report?
We use the latest technology with HomeGauge software that allows us to customize the report to your specific home. This allows us to move through the home in a systematic fashion, covering every aspect of the home. It also allows us to take picture of all the issues on the property and add comments and recommendations.
The report is delivered to you and your realtor via email within 2-3 hours after the inspection is completed.
How can I schedule the inspection?
There are multiple links on our website that will take you to our calendar so you can pick the date and time for your inspection. If you still need assistance, please call 414-333-6325.
What communities do you serve?
We serve Southeastern Wisconsin. Our basic binderies are from the Illinois border north to Sheboygan, from the lake to Johnson Creek. If you have something outside those boundaries, do not hesitate to contact us at 414-333-6325.
What do you all inspect on a property?
We look at, and comment on every aspect of the house.
We inspect exterior surfaces including siding, trim, soffit/fascia, gutters/downspouts, roofs, chimney systems, porches/decks, garage, and more.
- On the interior, we inspect electrical, plumbing, wall/ceilings/floors, windows, doors, and more.
- In the attic, we inspect for water stains, water seepage, cracked/damaged/sagging structure, insulation, discolorations (mold), and more.
- In the basement, we inspect for water stains, water seepage, wall cracks, wall movement (laser levels), floor structures, electrical, plumbing, heating unit, water heater, electric panels, and more.
We perform inspections that exceed the State of Wisconsin Rules and Regulations, WAHI, and interNACHI guidelines.
Should I attend the inspection?
You do not have to be at the inspection, but I highly recommend it. Although the report is incredibly detailed, it is much easier for you and me to go over the issues together at the property.
In addition, there are items we would like to show you, such as, the water main, furnace, water heater, and hose bibs shut offs.
What if I cannot attend the inspection?
We encourage all clients to schedule their inspection at a time when they can attend. However, if you are unable to do so, we can work with the real estate agent to gain entry to the property.
What is the cost of a home inspection?
Please visit our cost page for more details! If you still need assistance, please call 414-333-6325.

Any emails that are sent from our office to anyone, are followed-up with a text to make sure it does not get stuck in a spam or junk folder. You can find more information on our home inspections page.

Why schedule a pre-sale inspection?
If you are selling a home it is in your best interest to have a pre-sale inspection completed, to make sure you get the most for your home. The more you disclose about the home, the better.
